The Impact of Brand Ambassadors

Which advertisement is more likely to get you to do something? Advertisement One is published by a company showing off its product. Advertisement Two is from an individual sharing their thoughts about the product they tried from the company. If you’re like most people, you would say the one where the person shares their views is most impactful.

In an article from SEMRush, an online marketing Saas Platform, they found, “90% of people are much more likely to trust a recommended brand (even from strangers).” since individuals are more likely to be impacted by people, what can brands do to increase this on the internet? We recommend implementing brand ambassadors.

What is A brand ambassador? 

A successful brand ambassador be someone who can represent your brand to their followers and share their experiences about your company or organization. 

The goal of a brand ambassador is to introduce your business to its audience. It helps increase authentic word-of-mouth advertising and improves your engagement, leading to a larger audience and more sales. Additionally, brand ambassadors get an incredible experience, are introduced to your audience, and are incentivized to give honest opinions.

What will they do?

1.They connect you to a new audience. 

When you network and connect with new people, you are more likely to be discussed in conversations and on the Internet. By creating an ambassador program, you can tailor experiences for them to post about or encourage them to talk about, which will help attract a new audience.

2. Increases engagement 

The more people involved with your brand, the more engagement you get have. Posting with your ambassadors can encourage them to repost it, like, and comment on the pictures because they are involved. In return, the engagement can lead you to new followers like your clientele, helping you grow your brand.

While in my master's program, I studied the impact of influencers.  One of the most common things we found was that people trust people more than they do brands. This is because individuals are similar to us and more relatable than a company. With ambassadors, you create an atmosphere to get them talking and spreading the truth about your company.

Brand ambassadors is an excellent way to increase your online presence, but in doing so, it’s vital that you treat them with the utmost respect and appreciate them. It’s specifically essential to treat them well as you are elevating these people to represent your brand online, and if they turn their back on you, that can shed a negative light on your company.
